Clean lines, a restrained material palette, and modern detailing give the building a clear medical identity, while a collaborative design and value-engineering process aligned the specialized clinical program with the project budget.

A purpose-built home for a growing dental practice.
Peak Dental Care needed a new facility that could accommodate its expanding business and support continued growth within Pea Ridge and the surrounding community. The completed building provides approximately 5,000 square feet and 13 treatment rooms in a setting designed specifically for contemporary dental care.
Architectural identity
A clean, modern exterior with a clear medical presence.
The client wanted the building to be immediately identifiable as a medical office. Fugitt + Wheeler developed a restrained exterior composition with clean lines, modern detailing, light-colored materials, and a prominent entrance element that integrates the Peak Dental identity into the architecture.
Collaborative design
Specialized dental planning coordinated into one cohesive building.
Fugitt + Wheeler prepared the initial schematic layouts and designed the building envelope. Design Ergonomics then developed the internal office plan, equipment layout, casework, and interior finish-out. Fugitt + Wheeler carried that work forward by coordinating the specialized plan with structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, accessibility, and code requirements to produce a unified construction-document set.
Value engineering
Real-time cost analysis reshaped the construction system—not the project goal.
Commerce Construction was engaged throughout design to provide current cost information. During value engineering, the team priced both the original pre-engineered building concept and an alternative wood-framed structure with wood roof trusses. The wood-framed approach was selected to respond to budget constraints while preserving the exterior character and functional requirements of the dental facility.
Delivery
Architect and contractor working as one team for the client.
Fugitt + Wheeler provided construction administration and contractor coordination in an interactive partnership with Commerce Construction. This direct, collaborative approach allowed design, cost, constructability, engineering, and dental-equipment requirements to be addressed together throughout the project. The completed facility gives Peak Dental room to expand its clientele and strengthen its service to the Pea Ridge area.
